Started off really well but.....
So originally I went with a company called "Openfibre" at 999mbps via MS3 in Hull around October 2024. We received excellent broadband service and all was going well until... Hometelecom brought some accounts from Openfibre around Nov/Dec 2024 which unfortunately included my account. I was automatically enrolled into Hometelecom accounts. Now this is where the problems started. First of all the started overcharging me for the original service I had agreed too as per the contract agreement. Secondly the broadband service kept dropping with speeds only hitting around 100mbps even at none peak times. TV streaming was becoming unbearable to watch at times and gaming was continuously glitching. Thirdly their customer service is very poor indeed - after ringing up and emailing with my concerns of the above they (Hometelecom) promised they would sort it. To which at first they did and received a refund for the overcharging. Fast forward to now (a month) and yet again I'm experiencing the exact issues as mentioned about. **Update - Have now since spoken to Hometelecom and a plan has been put in to place. They've gained a star, I'll update again when the plan comes in to affect if the problems are resolved.
