This is very difficult to write but…

This is very difficult to write but here we go . I’d like to point out this is not to hate on Many Tears Animal Rescue as many of the staff there were lovely however I feel I have to put my experience out there !! About a month ago me and my partner went to visit many tears during one the guided tours , along with also looking to see about a job as we had seen they were advertising in which I was told that there were over 100 applications already so I shouldn’t bother as the role would be taken quickly but yet they are still advertising for the same job. Whilst walking around viewing the dogs ( which they have over 200 of) I was instantly drawn to one of the first dogs I saw , Lola the 2 year old cockpoo , me and my partner fell in love with her 🥰, once the tour had come to an end we asked for permission to go and see Lola again ( turns out it was her first day there on show !!) we went through to her kennel and spent over an hour playing with her and falling more and more in love , we knew this was our dog and she absolutely LOVED the cuddles!!!! We decided we wanted to adopt Lola so straight away went to the reception to ask how to go about this , we were aware that due to us being 18 we would have to have a person over 25 to agree the adoption at some point but were told it wouldn’t have to be at the moment. We were told that due to Lola being new in she was not up on the website as of yet so we had to apply for a different dog and state in the description that it was for Lola , so we instantly went to the car and applied!!! The next day we went up at 1pm and spent hours with Lola getting to know her , taking her outside to play and learning about what she knows and doesn’t, whilst doing this many staff members continued telling us how happy they were for us , how much Lola loves us and how excited they were for us to adopt this sweet girl. Unfortunately the following day we couldn’t visit Lola due to having work however we did get an email that day stating “ thank you so much for your application to adopt Lola !!! Before we can proceed we just need a few more details about the hours worked by the people over 25 in the household “ Me and my partner were SO excited as reading this meant that we had a MASSIVE chance to adopt her and we felt that the way this was worded meant that they were going to approve our application however just need a few more details, so yet again we instantly emailed back to ensure we didn’t waste any time Later that day we realised Lola was no longer available and we were extremely confused, we rang many tears instantly and were told she had been reserved by someone else , we were beyond devastated, we had built a huge connection with this dog over the past few days and had so much positivity from staff the confusion was ridiculous. The next day we went to many tears ( bear in mind we had arranged to come up that Saturday anyway to take Lola for a walk ) we thought that it must have been a mistake, however this was not the case we found out we had been lied to and that due to being 18 we were unable to apply for a dog at all and that we were told this (which we were not and the website also stated you have to be 25 for very nervous ex breeding dogs which Lola was not ) we were also told that the hours on which the people over 25 worked meant Lola would be home on her own for to long however we stated in the email that there would ALWAYS be someone over the aged of 18 at home with Lola So no we didn’t get our dog , we had been lied to , fed false information, given false hope , and built a bond with a dog they knew we couldn’t have . If anyone under 25 thinks of adopting from here I wouldn’t bother as they will only lead u on ( I was the one holding Lola in her picture for the website ) Saying this we hope Lola is enjoying her knew home and is loved just as much as we loved her because she deserves a happy home
