General fair value for money. HOWEVER...
General fair value for money when looking at storage/features/price. HOWEVER, customer support sucks. It is extremely impersonal and always defaults to canned responses. Often, it makes you wonder if they ever read the actual question until they are explicitly asked to do so. Even then, their replies are lacking answers to problems or suggested workarounds. For the application itself, it does have a couple of defects. When backup errors happen (which they do sometimes in most systems), the app lags a proper log file and you need to create a support ticket with debug information just to find out, which files failed during the backup... It also lags a basic feature like retention time for you backups, so you backup storage keeps growing (which of course might be in the interest of iDrive sales team). Their current solution for cleaning up called "periodic cleanup" is totally useless and uncontrolled. What it does it more or less randomly remove old files from you backup storage, no matter when the files were deleted... dooohhh.... iDrive COULD be one of the best backup tools if they took customer support serious and fixed the above deficiencies.
