Best Vacation Ever
When my husband and I started planning our first ever trip to Ireland we approached it in our usual fashion: I sat down with a guide book, a map, and a link to mass transit options to get us from one place to another. After a couple of weeks of total frustration, I told my husband our best options were a group tour or a self-drive tour. A quick Internet search of reviews for reliable tour operators lead me to Irish Tourism. The tours and options presented offered a program that was compatible with our needs. I sent an email and our knight in shining armor, John Moylan, responded. John asked many questions about our likes and dislikes, the things we enjoy doing, and places we wanted to see. And, most importantly, he coached me through the Other Hand Driving option—the thing that was the lynchpin for this vacation. He offered a slate of hotels and destinations that appealed to us and a schedule that fit our meandering style. All we had to do was say yes, castles please! I think on Day Two of driving in Ireland, I sent an email thanking John. Because of him and Irish Tourism we were experiencing this marvelous place in our own way. At the end, on the drive back to Dublin, we commented to each other that this had been one of our best vacations. Every part of it was seamless and worry-free. All we had to do was get from point a to point b and enjoy everything in between. Before we landed in the US, we were already considering a return trip—and what kind of adventure Irish Tourism could plan for us. It was because if their attention to detail and dedication to providing a delightful experience that we had such a wonderful time. We are confident that future vacations will be equally delightful.
