Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience — account closed with no explanation, and customer service is not taking accountability I opened a Payoneer account as an individual freelancer to receive payments for my work. During registration, I accidentally entered the wrong city ("Multan" instead of my actual city). I corrected this myself through the platform and resubmitted every document requested — multiple times, including my CNIC and a utility bill as proof of address. Despite doing everything asked of me and cooperating fully, my account was closed a few days later with a vague message citing "activity that does not align with our Terms and Conditions" — no specific reason was ever given, and I was told the decision was "final" and could not be appealed. I never sent or received a single payment through this account. There was no transaction history at all. The only "activity" was my own registration and repeated document verification — a process their own system caused to repeat multiple times by failing to save my corrected address. What made this worse was their customer care. For the first several emails, I received nothing but generic, templated responses that did not address anything I explained. I had to identify every single issue myself — the address not saving properly, the utility bill confusion (MEPCO is simply the name of the electricity provider, not my address) — Payoneer's support did nothing on their own to investigate. Only after three days of continuous effort and repeated emails did they finally agree to escalate my case to a higher team. It has now been over 24 hours since that escalation, and I still have not received any further update. Payoneer's customer service has not once acknowledged that this was caused by a failure in their own system. All of the effort to identify and explain the actual problem came from me, not them. I would strongly caution other freelancers, especially from Pakistan, about relying on Payoneer as your only payment platform.
