The no-surge policy held up during a big storm
There was a nasty thunderstorm in Miami two Saturdays ago and I half-expected Ryde to suddenly have 'demand pricing' or whatever they call it. Nope. Same fare as always. I checked a competitor app out of curiosity — 3.2x surge. I paid $12 for my ride home. Would've paid $38 on the other app. I'm not going back.
