Sydney to Cairns tour , Australia
The guides on this trip, Taimi from Sydney for 8 nights then Brendan for the last 5 nights to Cairns were excellent. They were friendly, relaxed, funny, informative and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. I would think that the guide can pretty much make or break a small group tour like this; 6 people for the first 8 nights then another three for the last 5. The elements Intrepid put together for this tour were a really good mixture of educational, thought-provoking visits eg to meet First Nations guides with visits to conservation sites, general interest excursions eg to vineyards and the koala hospital and activities like ocean kayaking and snorkelling. All the accommodation was comfortable and well appointed, some indeed was quite luxurious.
