Disappointing Stay - Poor Maintenance and No Water
This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had, and I feel compelled to share. The property was poorly maintained — the table tennis and accessories looked like something you’d find in a third-world country, completely subpar for the price we paid. To make matters worse, we spent our entire stay without running water. We had four kids in the family, making this situation incredibly stressful. Despite Angie from customer service being great and communicative, no one ever showed up to fix the water issue, even though we were promised it would be addressed. Adding to the disappointment, when we were leaving, I noticed a guestbook meant for kind notes from previous visitors. I wanted to check what others had written, only to find the page broken and replaced with a new one. You can check the note dated 1-1-25 to confirm this. I’ve been coming to the Carolinas for 10 years and have never experienced such poor maintenance. This was especially disheartening as I brought family visiting from Cuba — a country where water and electricity are scarce — to enjoy what I promised would be their greatest vacation. Instead, we felt deceived and let down. I have never left a bad review before, but this experience left us all deeply disappointed.
