A TOTAL DISASTER
We choose a scenic river cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary ( 1st Sept 2023) following positive recommendations from Panache cruises, our agents, who were complimentary about Scenic. What a total disaster, of a cruise, Bordeaux to Bordeaux. We spent 3 days of our 7 day cruise moored in Bordeaux looking at the side of a warehouse and at certain times looking at sewage discharge from a drain. The senior management on our ship spoiled our anniversary day by basically forgetting despite several reminders from other cruise participants. Too little to late. Tours were on the whole poor except for the ones to vineyards. We complained on our return about the management and cruise quality, only to be offered a miserly £250.00 off our next Scenic cruise. Would we !!! never again . On the only positive note the staff were good especially the head chef who prepared special deserts as I am diabetic. I would mention this is an honest and fair critique of our Scenic cruise. I would also have awarded zero stars if the system would have allowed me to do so.
