Poor experience throughout

In an industry where poor service seems to come as standard, DC Law does nothing to stand above the rest. If you’re to choose to use them, I’d recommend the following • Don’t trust the financial breakdown sent. I discovered (too late) that their website states that leasehold charges are “upto £500”. We were charged £2400. This was the part that was most unreasonable to me. • Don’t assume that the portal that’s used makes things more efficient. Documents are uploaded to the platform with no other communication method. It means as things get more advanced, it’s difficult to piece things together and its hard work getting a straight answer on what they ultimately mean. • It’s likely the quote you get from the outset won’t be based on any of the facts around your property. You’ll receive quite a few additional charges, again with no context about what they’re for. I gave up with the financial statements and the number of revisions we had. • Don’t rely on the log of latest activity on the portal. There are a number of “call to client” references in the log when I can’t remember receiving a call from them – in fact, I scarcely remember EVER receiving a call - so I assume other references were equally unreliable. • Make sure any of the above is raised within your 14 day period – after that, you will just have the T&Cs repeated back to you, basically saying there’s nothing you can do about it. • Don’t assume that by selling a house, they’ll ask you about whether you’re buying another one to live in. It seemed to come as a surprise when I raised the point. Ultimately, I don’t remember having any confidence in the process concerning the purchase of my house. We gave feedback during the process and after the sale which wasn’t addressed or followed up, so have given every opportunity to address our issues before posting on TrustPilot.
