Arguably the best DAW in the world.
This is not a paid review, I want to make that clear. I have never even heard of Image Line, until I wanted to buy FL Studio back in April. I can say without a doubt, you absolutely don't need anything else if you know sound design. I only bought NEXUS3 (VST) because I didn't want to learn sound design. FL Studio, in my opinion, is better than Ableton because FL Studio gives you free lifetime updates, provided you bought a version of Fruity Loops when they started doing this policy. I am telling you, if you want to buy FL Studio, please, for the love of all things, buy the All Plugins edition. I don't even use all the plugins in the All Plugins edition, but you legit don't need anything else after that. It comes with EVERY plugin in the DAW, ranging from distortion, reverb, dynamics, compression, EQs, and all the synths you need from every genre of music. You are not limited to anything with the All Plugins Edition, you have EVERYTHING that you need. Not to mention, if you try to upgrade to the All Plugins edition later it actually costs MORE than just buying it straight up the first time. I want to give a little disclaimer though, a lot of music production tutorials out there will be using VST (external plugins), so unless you don't know sound design, I highly recommend, you learn every expect of the DAW. You don't need Sylenth1, Sawer does the same thing, you don't NEED Serum, Harmour does the same thing. For the love of all things, if you're going to buy Nexus, at least take a look at Sytrus, it has the same exact nobs as all the other Synths in the world. You just have to play with it a bit. If you are interested in music production and sound design, I followed this YouTube tutorial series by this YouTuber named "Utterfly" he has a 63 video tutorial series on how to make music and goes from the very beginning to the very end of music production, and it's FREE. After watching this series, I completed my first song "You", my artist name is Auccuatt if you wanna search "Auccuatt - You", I uploaded it to Label Radar and it already wants to be promoted by a Turkish music promoter (8D Songs) on YouTube with 600K+ subscribers. If you have the desire to make music, EVEN if you just want to do it as a hobby. Buy Image Line's FL Studio. Don't buy anything else. Plain and simple.
