Failure with timescale, failure with truth.
I have evidenced that the person dealing with my complaint actually lied to me... They promised that they would make British gas actually shut down the old Scottish power account I had and I have that in writing. They then have completely backpedalled and said that they are not going to do that. British gas have said that they will only do what is written in the final remedies and won't actually support me and a complaint that has taken over 15 months to be closed with the ombudsman is now having to have a new complaint opened with British gas because they still haven't shut down the old account. The energy ombudsman has been completely toothless through the whole thing. They have replied to messages extremely slowly. They have not followed up properly with British gas and they are now feeling to do even what they promised they would... I feel like the energy ombudsman needs an ombudsman to deal with their lies and abandoning people despite promises that they would get British gas to shut down the different account. Absolutely horrified don't waste your time even opening a complaint with them really.
