To all considering using ParcelABC, they lie on their quotes about fast delivery, they don't help with couriers paperwork, they insist on taking import taxes in advance (even when import taxes do not apply). Then refuse to contact courier to claim compensation for delays/slow delivery. Then ParcelABC wont refund wrongly applied import taxes, just pocketing the money they they never had to pay out. ParcelABC are Thieves. Detail for those interested - I rarely need parcels from abroad. In an online quote, ParcelABC showed favourable. 3-6 days airfreight (for collection in South Africa and delivery to UK). Parcel ABC requested dimensions, weight and more importantly the value of my parcel. ParcelABC insisted I pay UK import tax in advance or they would not take my order, charging me an extra £40 GBP. ParcelABC promised this would be refunded if UK tax was not applied. Filling in the paperwork was tricky/illogical, with no help from ParcelABC. ParcelABC insisted my parcel sender, print/supply 6 of them same dispatch form for the courier. Parcel was collected on arranged date, courier only needed one copy (not 6). Parcel then sat in a South African UPS building for 3 days. I contacted ParcelABC, they did nothing about it, saying it can take longer than the 3-6 days, this is just a guide, and UPS to blame anyway. Even after 7 days of my Parcel being sat in the South African UPS building, ParcelABC did nothing, not even contact UPS. So, I contacted UPS, and then eventually, my parcel arrived after 2 weeks. Things now went from bad to worse. ParcelABC refused to compensate for delays or their lack of effort/responses. For a month they strung me along, saying they will contact UPS for compensation and check if UK tax was applied, before they would consider refunding the UK tax charges. Eventually I contacted UPS, they said no UK tax as parcel value well below the UK tax import value. Also only ParcelABC could claim for compensation for delays on my behalf as they are the booking company. Giving this info to ParcelABC made no difference. Chasing them every 2 weeks for another 2 months. Constant assurances, failed each time and tax refund would be done by Friday each week for those 2 months. My advice dont use UPS either, their customer service was just as bad as ParcelABC. Both had the attitude, it was the other parties problem. 24.2.25 Update, (day after writing the above review). ParcelABC message saying my review is not genuine and I have 3 days to prove it is. The person at ParcelABC that has been the most incompetent and wasted 3 months of my time and took my money is called Monika. Agata also gave me the wrong info. Is this proof enough for you. Monika also messaged me today to say she didn't understand my last email, where I said "No £40 refunded to me". So still wasting my time and playing dumb.
