Instagram - Discriminatory Content, Animal Cruelty & Scam Advertising
I've had an extremely poor experience with Instagram. I found it to be full of fake people, awful content creators. All I was shown was videos of influencers & scammers trying to get me to sign up to courses. The algorithms are also clearly manipulated and edited to constantly show me things that I disliked and if I commented about them, it would then show me short videos that try and turn it around back onto me to make me feel like I'm the problem for what I had said and that it everything is okay, I.e we live in a normal society. When we all really know that we don't and what I stated in my comments were actual facts of reality and how things really are. Social media will try & sell it to you different as if it's all in your head, when you're stating actual facts from my own personal life experiences. I've also witnessed animal cruelty on Instagram. I reported it through the app reporting system to be told that it doesn't violate community guidelines. I've documented and kept screenshots of it. Clearly, Instagram are not following and adhering to the Online Safety Act 2023. I'm disabled person with protected characteristics. I now feel very depressed after my Instagram experience. Subsequently, I've been left with no other choice but to delete my account and the app. I will not ever re-engage with Instagram again. One final thing that I will say is, all of these rich people out there involved with these type of apps, social media platforms & taking advantage & mocking of the normal working class people & the vaunrable in society - The truth is being seen. I can promise you that one day, judgement will come without me doing or saying anything further - I'll end it there.
