From the best to the worst...
You only need to look through the recent reviews to see that everyone has the same problem with them. I purposely never left a review these past few years because I was always sceptical that an issue would be just around the corner and here it is; the final straw. It starts out amazing, you get to tailor make your box - kind of - how you like it, and as time goes on, you get more freedom to choose more of the juices that you like. However, you soon start to realise that the top juices, the best ones, the ones that you actually want are not the ones that come in your box – literally ever – you’re only able to pick from the best of the “above average” liquids. If you want the premium flavours you have to buy those as additional extras; and not at a great price either really when you’re already spending over 50 quid each month. As a UK resident, you have to come to terms with the fact that your subscription is going to take – on average – about 3 weeks to get to you pre-covid. Though, often enough, you’ll find that your box arrives more than a month later, especially so these days. What’s more, occasionally they get flagged at UK customs and you have to pay a further charge anywhere between 10 and 20 pounds for it to make the final leg of the journey. What this means is, for 330ml of – mostly – average juice you’re sometimes spending 70 quid and having to wait well over a month for it to reach you. The first 3 months are peachy where they hook you on what appears to be a good deal for exotic liquids, and then things slowly decline to the point where it’s just good enough to keep paying rather than the hassle of cancelling and buying your juice the old fashioned way. I’ll grant that Covid as well as the US laws and legislations have affected the company as well as their move to two different warehouses, and Zamplebox have been very apologetic about it in a series of generic emails to its customers. However, the customer service is non-existent these days. I’ve waited nearly 3 months for a single response regarding a billing issue on either the live chat, email or ticketing system and I’m just done messing around with them now. I was not prepared to update my billing information and have them take more money when my most recent boxes have taken over 2 months to arrive! I thought that I would wait so they could sort themselves out, but they cancelled my subscription - which appeared sort of kind of them – and then upon re-activating my account, all of my unlocked slots (the ability to pick from the meagre 4 pages of poor juice) were gone. Another series of contact attempts later to resolve it has been met with the all too familiar silence of the Zamplebox customer service team. There was a time where you could have your fill picking some -not all- great flavours from epic brands that really made this company worth the money. But now, even the longest and biggest spending loyal customers are only being sent the dregs of the juice making world. Weak liquids, long delivery times, extra charges, no customer service. Lately, I honestly feel like I’m paying for the privilege of being sent juice I could buy in a run down supermarket for one of those olden day e-pens. Really disappointing to see them go from the best to literally the worst retailer for your E-Liquid needs. I strongly advise staying away, this company looks like it’s on its last legs and it tastes like the juice they’re providing is nasty clearance liquid from the back of a warehouse long forgotten about. A very deserved 1 star
