Porta Order no P55265
Porta Order no : P55265 If your order is delivered safe and sound , I am happy for you if not , forget about insurance claim with Porta delivery! I booked them to pick a table for 8 with 8 chairs , collection time before 1300 , it was collected after 5pm and delivered after 11.30pm. It would have been fine if table and chairs weren’t damaged. I have the proof from the seller that table and chairs were in immaculate condition, however delivery guys placed a polished Mahogany table for 8 on its side resting its top on the side wall of a van with chairs on top of each other. Unfortunately that resulted in a chipped wood from the side of the table and damaged chairs . Couriers didn’t even took photographs of how they placed the table and chairs in the van for insurance purposes and instead blamed me and my house entrance for the damage - I requested a two men pick up and delivery and paid extra for insurance on Porta’s portal When I requested evidence from porta delivery , couriers didn’t even provide any photographic evidence , in reality they didn’t take any pictures of the goods loaded in the van or once it was delivered at my residence. Very next day , I reported this to Porta who promised to investigate and got back to me with all the terms and conditions and small print and offered me to pay out of goodwill gesture £50 then £70 with a porta voucher of £50. While purchasing the insurance and two men delivery , I opted for a premium delivery that clearly stated that Porta would fast track and insurance claim but when I filed one , they want to connect me to the moving partners to fight my case directly. I booked porta almost ten days before the pick up and absolutely had no idea who the pick up guys would be. I bought an insurance through their portal but now they want me to fight my claim with the delivery guys directly since they claim to be just connecting clients with delivery guys. How my contract can be between me and delivery guys when I paid porta ten days prior of collection and was only notified of the delivery guys 24 hours prior of collection. To justify this is what Porta wrote “ We have provided a goodwill gesture for very minimal scratch to a chair that exceeds repair cost” Frankly this is quite insulting and biased way of looking at things . Porta although not the couriers does not have systems and processes for their delivery partners otherwise photographic evidence of loading , unloading and safe delivery evidence as insurance indemnity would be in place . Thoroughly disgusted and dissatisfied with Porta’s handling of my case and appalled by their trading partner who not only misrepresented everything but blatantly lied!. I am sure Porta will try to cover and again blame me but in reality their systems of risk management have failed miserably I expect noting from them and good luck if your goods gets damaged
