Good service!
Our experience with Irish Tourism was very good. We were given a few options for the tours and chose The Best of Ireland with self-drive and accommodations in B&Bs and hotels. Our agent, Linda, sent us a very detailed itinerary with all kinds of suggested sights to see on the way and alternative route options. Pricing was very reasonable and we even got some discount for paying early. She booked everything - the car and the hotels/B&B's and provided info how to get there. Note: make sure you have enough room on your credit card for a hold for the car (for incidentals), which drops off in a few days, but you might need that room on your card for other things too. We had a nice trip and most of the accommodations were really nice, people were friendly, food delicious. We had some misunderstanding about our booking and had to contact Linda. She responded right away and contacted hotels to help to resolve it. Note to American tourists - double bed in Ireland just means queen/king size bed, if you want two beds, ask for twin beds. Overall, we were happy with accommodations - all of them had breakfast included and B&Bs were on spot with hearty Irish breakfast. If you are staying at a hotel, I'd suggest going for breakfast early to get good service, as they tend to get busy and still short staffed. Linda even gave us recommendations for our future tours, per request, as we are interested in discovering more of Ireland. If you are from US, I'd recommend using this company over the US companies, as they are not as responsive and overpriced.
