The small print
Much of this is my fault, but there was no way to resolve the issue, so a 1 star review it is. I booked and didn't need extra insurance, but I could not use the visa debit card I made the booking with due to the fact, it's not a visa credit card and the type of holding payment they needed to make, cannot be performed on a visa debit card UNLESS I would take the full insurance at over 22euros a day. This seems very bad they can change the rules when it financially suits them and NOT the customer. Lesson learned. Seems customer service is NOT in the best interest of IRISH CAR RENTALS, so probably best to avoid them.
