Hidden exorbitant fees and poor communication

I wish to express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received from Taylor Rose throughout this process. From the outset, communication has been extremely poor. I did not have any verbal contact with a member of their team until more than two weeks after the process began. Prior to this, I was asked to provide sensitive banking information without receiving a clear explanation of the process or reassurance from their staff. The breakdown of costs had not been provided in a transparent or timely manner. The client care letter uses vague terms such as “may be” charged, which are not clear or definitive. At no point were these charges updated or made available via the Taylor Rose portal. I was also charged additional fees for an expedited four-week completion, which was not made clear from the start and was not reflected in the initial costings I was given. The initial costings were £1.9k, imagine my dismay and shock when I recieved a nearly £3k bill with additional fees and extra charges. To make matters worse, the final bill was sent to me after 5:30 pm on Thursday, 27th March, despite my earlier request during the week for the final bill. I was then required to make full payment by the next working day (Friday), ahead of a completion date set for Monday, 31st March. This gave me no time to properly review or query the costs, nor to confirm the payee bank details as required, since the bill was sent after working hours. I consider this to be extremely unacceptable and indicative of poor planning and communication. I have made two written requests for my personal and business bank details to be deleted, as is my right under GDPR legislation. It has not been confirmed as of the 15th June to be done. I personally would never do business with Taylor Rose again. Unless I want to be charged exorbitant hidden fees, poor communication and a firm that ignored my GDPR requests aswell as ignoring my complaint which was raised with the client care team in May. Such a shame!
