SunExpress bag drop at Manchester airport is shocking. It’s like going back to the 1980’s. All other airlines have the automated baggage drop, with no queues - even Ethiopian Airlines. We queued for 45 minutes only to be told, when it was our turn, that we were too early for our flight as they were dealing with the previous flight still. No where on the screens at the back of baggage drop did it say which flight was being currently dealt with. We were told to go away and come back later. Manchester Airport does not have any seating in the departures concourse, as all other airlines have their acts together. The flight was unremarkable going and coming back. Antalya airport had loads of SunExpress baggage drop off points with staff directing you to the shortest queues. That worked like a dream - I’d even say they were NEARLY in the 21st century coming home. All in all, I wouldn’t want to travel with SunExpress again until they invest some money in their bookings and bag drops services.
