Shamble service is just an inspection.
Just picked up my motor from here after a 50,000 service... Which included nothing being changed. Not even oil and oil filter as a bare minimum, that I thought I was getting (where anywhere else other than Kia is an absolute bare minimum to be called a service) This cost £65. Dropped off at 9am, called at 3.30ish pm told it was just being done. Picked up at 5.20ish pm when it was done. Noted on the inspection sheet "Topped up 1L of oil"... Where can I ask this was put in? Indicator before I dropped off was at top dot on dipstick... First thing I did when picked up was check the oil, no change still black still top dot on dipstick? What I've paid for is for it to sit in ther carpark for 7 hours, get inspected for 30 minutes and have a wash. I had just washed it myself before I dropped it off too, it was still wet 😕🤣. I washed all the suds off the car atleast. Still has bubbles over mirrors. Could've literally had it picked up given a full service (+oil+filter) and dropped back off for £78 with another firm (Servicing Stop) that's Vat registered and would've kept the warranty too. I've basically just paid for a Kia stamp in the service book and a nice service by reception staff. So after all that, I'll be under my motor tomorrow giving it an oil and filter change, along with air and pollen filter that I had planned. Which I was wishing to avoid due to time of year. Lesson Learned. Safe to say won't be back to dealership, prob wont have another Kia neither if its lining pockets like that. £65 for an inspection to tell me things I already know about my own motor that I never asked for, I paid for a mechanical service and never got it, can only justify it with a 1/5 star review. Edit: left a few hours cold to see if oil level would go up... It has by 1cm above the full dot so they've over filled it as it was at full before I gave them it. See image. Also noted on inspection sheet keep an eye on power steering fluid. Power steering fluid is non existent...it's an Electric power steering Unit !?!?!🙃 Wouldn't happen to be anything to do with power steering fluid bottle in the boot thats got 2 stroke oil in it? So was a proper inspection (Kia's service) carried out or just visual guessing?
