Needs improvement
Good points: - tutor is great, laidback and very knowledgable with a sense of humour (heard awful things about the London tutor so feel very lucky) - convenient location for classes - timings of the classes are suitable for people who work Monday to Friday Bad points: - I don’t understand why chrysalis insists on having people study a year of hypnotherapy before undertaking the counselling diploma - especially as most people (on my course at least) don’t want to pursue this, and it isn’t hugely relevant to counselling. It would make much more sense to do an introductory counselling skills module. (I have a degree in a helping profession followed by working with people using lots of counselling skills, as well as undertaking a short course in counselling skills with chrysalis — and they still insisted I did the 3 year course!!!) - no empathy from the team regarding late payments or missed payments even if you have a really good reason. They send threatening emails about kicking you off the course. - I think it’s awful that we have paid for this course and yet for the whole of July and August they think it’s fair and reasonable that we do not have access to a tutor. We have our final piece of coursework in this time so it is incredibly inconvenient. This is not the tutor’s fault, I suspect it is Chrysalis’ decision. I understand the tutors need time off but to not be available for even one day a week is ridiculous to me. This has been the feedback from the whole class.
