Avoid..Disastrous Customer Support
Had a horrific experience with Singapore Airline customer support over the last one week. I am a Krisflyer member and redeemed my FF miles to book domestic tickets on Vistara with Krisflyer. Our tickets were for 3rd Jan and as covid is increasing sharply in India, we decided to prepone our tickets and for that we have been desperately trying to contact their customer support through email, phone, Live Chat multiple times a day since the last 8 days but got no response from them.. So we had to book our return flights on another airline since we were travelling from Mumbai where Covid is increasing very rapidly. Finally got hold of their customer support through live chat today after 8 days of trying non stop during our holiday (Mind you they have still not bothered to get back to us on their own) to tell them that we have booked with another airline and asked them to cancel our tickets and return the FF Miles to our account, instead of being apologetic and helping us they are demanding a miles redeposit fee of 75USD per ticket (which is almost equal to the value of the ticket had we paid cash) that too for their own fault and said they cant do anything about it and either I should pay the fee or my miles get wasted. In the past I have travelled with SQ and have always loved their service but seems like their support and service in India is a disaster and are not interested to help. Their local office is shut and they keep you waiting on calls for 2 hours at a stretch but no ones comes on the line, they dont reply to emails and their chat support too is rarely available and that too if you are lucky enough to get to them, is least bothered to help.Even called their singapore customer care but they also kept me waiting for half an hour without any agent getting on the line.. We contacted Vistara customer support as well but got no reply from them as well. Pls avoid Singapore Airlines at all costs since you should not expect any support from them in case you need urgent help. Extremely disappointed at the disgraceful behaviour from such a large and reputed airline.
