Travelocity will make your day go sour: HORRIBLE!
My Lufthansa airline reservation for May 8, 2020 was canceled by the airlines because of the Covid Pandemic and a representative from Lufthansa said that I would have a full refund ($7,685.46) but because it was booked through Travelocity, I would have to work through Travelocity. Originally in May I was told by Travelocity that I could not get a refund. I told them that Lufthansa had already said that I did qualify for a refund. After over 8 hours on the phone over 5 days with Travelocity I received an email from Travelocity on May 6 stating that I would get a full refund and it would be 8 weeks for me to receive it. It is now over 8 weeks. I contacted Travelocity and they said they could not find the May 6th email which they had sent to me confirming the refund. I called Lufthansa and they said I was due a full refund and they said that Travelocity put my reservation in a queue for refund but did not process it, so Lufthansa could not release the refund. The Lufthansa agent suggested that the Travelocity representative call the Lufthansa travel agency support line to remedy the situation. I have since spoken to two different agents at Travelocity (one of them in corporate office, Clarrisa) and neither would make the call to Lufthansa because their computer is down. I do not understand why a phone call cannot be made even if a computer is down. I provided the booking number, the itinerary number, the number of the e-tickets. They also said that even though I have notified them that they did not complete the work on the reservation refund that they would not do anything to correct it when the computers came up. I have already been on the phone with Travelocity today for a total of 2 hours but they simply say that I need to call back.
