My car rental reservation was cancelled because I live in Spain
I live in Spain. I reserved a car from this company. I informed them, that I don't need the transportation from the airport to their office and I will come to there by myself. After 2 days, my reservation was suddenly cancelled, because I did not have any flight number give them. I thought that this must be some misunderstanding, but no. I was told, that THEY DON'T RENT cars to people, who live here. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MENTIONED CLEARLY ON THEIR WEBSITE before I started to waste hours for nothing with this company's website, emails and calls. They said to me, that this was mentioned on the contract also. However, I was able to provide my Spanish address details for my reservation on their website. At this point, at the latest, I should have been informed that I could not rent a car from them, because my address is in Spain. This makes me wonder, what could be a reason for this? Why they only rent the cars for tourists? Luckily I managed to get a car from another company just less than 2 days before we needed a car.
