Poor customer service
"Good, different" is the slogan, but my recent experience cannot be classed as good. I purchased a 50kg clothes dryer and understood I would have to somehow manhandle it into my car. I am an older woman and luckily found a couple of helpful men to help me load it in. Unfortunately when I got it home I saw it was damaged. I wanted to discuss the return procedure with a "real" person. There is no way to talk to anyone on the phone and when I tried to do an online query, I could find no way to bring up my issue. So dryer (now unpacked and harder to manage) back into my car, drive back to the store so I could talk to someone. I would have expected that, seeing as it was Aldi's responsibility to provide an intact item and replace this item, there may have been some sort of help. Again, no physical help, because Aldi staff are not permitted to leave the store. I did manage to get the dryer out of my car (at least gravity was on my side) and luckily I was able to obtain a replacement dryer, but then I had to wait until I was able to find a willing customer to help in the carpark. Thanks to the helpul gentlemen, no thanks to Aldi management who make the rules.
