I’ve been a business customer of Yu Energy for over a year, and their treatment of me has been nothing short of appalling. Despite providing my new Direct Debit details four separate times, they’ve still failed to update my payment information. Even after a company representative visited my premises, he refused to set up a payment plan and assured me he’d sort everything out—only for nothing to change. In the meantime, Yu Energy has been overcharging me on every bill. When I asked for a payment plan (to avoid ever-mounting late fees), their agents stonewalled me and then resorted to threats: I have a recording of their own billing department instructing the agent to warn me that, “if you don’t pay, your bill will be doubled.” This is nothing but bullying tactics. They’re happy to harass customers, reject any suggestion of error on their part, and leave you wasting hours on the phone just to get through. Now they’re threatening to cut off my electricity remotely via their smart meter unless I pay immediately—before they’ve even fixed the issues they themselves created. This is outrageous. I urge any business or homeowner to avoid Yu Energy at all costs. Their “service” is a masterclass in incompetence, overbilling, and intimidation.
