Better than through comparison sites etc
We rented a car while we were already in Marseille. Much cheaper that through comparison sites that I'd normally use. I paid an additional fee of 15 euro a day to reduce excess from 1200 to 300 but was still made to pay 1200 deposit as otherwise, they wouldn't give me the car. Not sure how it works but I don't speak French and the lady didn't speak English so it was hard for us to communicate. Apart from that, service was quick and easy, car pleasant and all in all good. The deposit was returned to me straight away which I found really good as I had to wait for up to two weeks on previous occasions with different providers. No checking the body work with magnifying glass on return either. I'd recommend Rent A Car.
