We were told the price was guaranteed…
We were told the price was guaranteed but this is not the case as they will come on the day to inspect and will change their valuation if they feel they cannot make money on the fair car when I asked them if would you carry the inspection beforehand or on the day the person on the phone told me no, other than inspect the condition I have described visually and mechanically. I also repeadily asked, would you change your valuation on the day, the individual said no because if anything is wrong or we are not satisfied with this will be our loss. Surprise surprise, they slashed the valuation by 50% and since I was desperate to get rid of the car as we were moving homes and didn't want to take it with us we were misled and left in a situation where we had to agree. In addition to that, they refused to even take accountability for giving us wrong information. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU! - Have your inspection done beforehand and only then let them give you the "Guaranteed" valuation. The manager was also supposed to call me, but I bet you can guess what happened there.
