PC 1000 Replacement Media
Dear Pelican Water Systems, Suggestion: I could use a second Hose Bib Assembly for my carbon replacement - one for inlet and one for outlet. Today is July 19, 2017. Last November 29, 2016 I received my carbon replacement media for my 5 year old water system. I'm late in replacing my carbon filter because the weather weather got cold and I was ill for the last few months. Anyway, over the last few days I followed your instruction to replace the carbon media. The instruction were clear. But because I am 70 years old, I had to be careful working with the heavy tank. After washing out all the old carbon media from the tank, I decided to put the tank back on the ledge near my water system to fill it. I didn't think I could lift (by myself) a full tank of carbon and water up onto the concrete ledge in my garage. So, I actually filled the tank on the ledge. In filling with water, I could have used a second Hose Bib Assembly. Only one was provided. A second hose bib would allow the overflow water to flow out a second hose to a place outside the garage without splashing on on the garage floor. As it happened, I tried using duct tape to connect a hose to the outlet. Most of the water went out the hose but a lot of water still spilled in the garage. I'm glad it was a warn day helping the floor and ledge to dry. As a suggest, I would recommend a 2nd hose bib assemblies instead of just one. It would make my work easier and less messy.
