An easy way to make your way through Europe...
My recent 10-day EF Tours trip through some of Europe’s most iconic cities, London, Paris, Milan, Florence, and Rome, was an unforgettable experience filled with culture, history, and breathtaking landmarks. The itinerary featured an impressive lineup of must-see destinations, including Buckingham Palace, Parliament Square, the Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides, the Louvre, San Miniato al Monte, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. These stops delivered on expectations, offering rich historical context and stunning visuals. The EF Tour guides were exceptional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and organized, making each location come alive with stories and context. I'd give them a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only downside was the occasional overemphasis on shopping excursions, which could have been better spent exploring additional cultural or historical sites. On the downside, the food throughout the trip was average at best. While there were occasional highlights, most meals felt generic or tourist-focused, or bland and flavorless, 3 out of 5 stars. Likewise, the hotels left much to be desired, offering the basics but lacking comfort and amenities, 2 out of 5 stars. In summary, EF Tours delivered a well-paced and culturally rich itinerary, with standout tour guides and memorable landmarks. With improvements to accommodations and a better balance between shopping and sightseeing, it could have been a five-star experience.
