My first trip with Venatour. I will be back
This was my first Venatour trip and I can certainly say that I will be back. I must confess that I am not a huge Rugby fan but a friend had recommended Venatour and I hadn’t visited Rome for some years so it seemed like a good idea. I investigated the price, which very reasonable for a long weekend in a major Europe city, and the Itinerary looked just right - plenty of options to explore but still leaving enough time to explore on your own. Venatour chartered their own flight which was all professionally run and it was a nice touch to have Venatour staff greeting you and directing you to the right places. When mingling with the other passengers it was clear that there were many return customers who knew each other well but it wasn’t a clique. Despite this being my first trip and my self confessed limited rugby knowledge, everyone was very friendly and really made me feel part of the group. The hotel was in a great location with all the major sights within a healthy walk away. For those who didn’t want to walk there was a metro station close by. The selection of bars and restaurants close by were both very reasonable and excellent quality. I have to recommend the pizza at Washington Cafe and the Pasta at Vattani. The meet and greet drinks reception was very good with people again very friendly and the guest speakers (Gareth Chilcott & Stuart Barnes) very entertaining and happy to have photos taken. The rooftop bar gave you a stunning view of the city and the Vatican at sunset. It was incredible. Onto game day and the tickets were in a great spot. Great view of the game and right in the middle of the atmosphere. It summary, it was a great trip. The organisation was slick and the staff were very friendly and always there to help. I will be back
