ALDI mobile sim card starter pack rip-off! I purchased a $25 ALDI mobile starter pack and had issues with activation. The next day I took the sim card back to the Darlinghurst store for a refund and the manager said, "I cannot give you a refund, this is like returning a gift card that has already been used!" I explained to the manager that his analogy was wrong, the sim card has not been used, has not been activated, is not in my phone, it is in my hand waiting for a refund. The manager just shrugged his shoulders and said that he felt sorry for me and that there was nothing he could do. I was paid the ubiquitous customer lip service and was cheated out of $25. Epilogue Since my ordeal Aldi never once tried to contact me, which appears to show the almighty dollar is far more important to them than bad publicity.
