I wish we’d never used this company!
We had windows and doors fitted last September. The fitters were great can’t fault them. The saleslady was nice but like others have said on here a bit pushy, very invasive and stayed for nearly 3 hours which I found incredibly strange and felt guilty for thinking it was us keeping HER but no it turns out it was a tactic. I also wish we’d done what I had wanted which was to source other quotes but it felt we were really backed into a corner on this and just ended up going for it more because they were just THERE. Once the windows were done the fitters said to expect some adjustments to be needed and someone would be in touch to check how they were…no one ever got in touch. Well not about the fitted windows. We’ve had COUNTLESS sales calls about a new kitchen, a new bathroom but every-time we said about the windows they took a message and “someone” would get back to us. We tried getting in touch with them but they do not answer their phone. All winter we had windows are whistling in the wind, drafts in door entrances, leaks in seals and the triple glazing isn’t exactly reducing the noise anymore than our old windows did. Then not to mention the quality and look of the product itself. The samples looked good. I chose grey on the inside and outside because I didn’t like white plastic on the inside and grey exterior. I specifically said this! The inners of the windows and doors are white plastic and visually ugly. I’ve seen other windows and doors in the same colour with the colour all the way through the product. I mentioned this on a call and still no one has ever contacted us for customer satisfaction. I’m January this year I found their complaints section and emailed their address given to file a claim/complaint. I was never responded to in writing as their website says but called by Nathan. Nathan I have not liked dealing with anyway because I feel he’s intimidating and threatening, so on the call while he was talking over me and talking at me and down to me I said I didn’t feel comfortable having him here while I was alone. I was told I was “difficult” and “a nightmare”. I gave him my partners number so that he could arrange a time with him when he too could be present. He never called. We still kept getting the sales calls so eventually a few weeks ago my partner feigned interest in getting a bathroom to just get someone to the property. He had no interest in the windows and doors and once again said he’d pass the message on then got down to planning our new bathroom. We then had to endure another 2 hour sales pitch and this time we repeatedly said we weren’t ready yet (in 6 weeks), we wanted to get other quotes, etc etc. We were told our bathroom would be front cover of a magazine (lol!) and that they’ve never done a bathroom on such a scale so they’d love the project (this didn’t fill me with confidence). After 3 phone calls and hugely over inflated prices since the first one was TRIPLE what a full kitchen and utility room cost (even with Wren kitchens) the price eventually settled down to about £14k. They could’ve said they’d do it for £2k and I wouldn’t be letting Sunshine do any more work on our house. They are very poor it seems with keeping to the terms of their guarantee and their customer service standards are non existent. All they seem to do is utilise old bully boy sales tactics, intimidation, cold calling and badgering. Certainly would not recommend. If I could give lower than 1 star I would.
