I cannot rate Audley travel more highly
I cannot rate Audley travel and in particular Shannon Phelan , our Japanese expert more highly. I wanted to take my husband to Japan as i had visited the country 35 years ago and loved it. When i contacted Audley Travel i was put in touch with Shannon. After talking to Shannon about an ideal itinerary for us she she went away and then came back with an itinerary to suit our needs. We agreed to go ahead and booked the trip. Unfortunately just over a week before we were due to leave my husband's back gave way and he was unable to travel. Shannon was excellent in helping to change the holiday to substitute my son in his Dad 's place. Flights were out of Shannon's control but she sorted everything out that she could. I will always be grateful to her for making a stressful situation more bearable. Upon arrival in Tokyo we were met by a representative who went through all the train and ferry tickets as well as the tour vouchers. Unbelievably good organisation. Everything went like clockwork and all the tour guides were great too. Initially Shannon had trouble in booking us tickets for the Sumo championships that were due to take place when we were in Tokyo. I was disappointed that she may not have been able to secure the tickets but she came up trumps for us and managed to get us 2 tickets. This proved to be the highlight of my trip, although there were so many other highlights! Thank you again and I would definitely book with Audley Travel again.
