Get What You Pay For Roadside Assist Policy
Took out additional Roadside Assistance with my comprehensive car insurance. Today my car broke down at Yass, NSW. A tow truck was organised and it was towed to a mechanic who refused to look at it, cause they were too busy. My daughter then rang 6 other local mechanics, all refusing, stating too busy. PD left my hysterical daughter on the roadside 3hrs from home, wiping their hands stating that their obligation was complete. I contacted management of call centre when I was talking to deaf ears of a pleb. Management wiped their hands and told me that I should have read the fine print of their policy. Nothing else was offered. This insurance policy is obviously a get what you pay for policy. BUYER BEWARE. PD can stick my renewal insurance policy 'where the sun don't shine!'.
