Awful and aggressive customer service
Awful and aggressive customer service - they were basically terrifying people into taking their local insurance. Women who dealt with me became very unhelpful as soon as I was adamant (and I had to be very forceful!) that I had my own insurance. She started to speak very quickly (and quietly) and refused to confirm with me that as long as I returned the car undamaged I would pay no excess. She just kept repeating that if there were any scratches on the car at all I would pay the 1400 euro amount. They even had a "stooge" who came to the counter next to me to shout about how they'd charged him 1400 euros for damage they'd made up. Left me feeling very anxious about the car and ended up thoroughly videoing the vehicle on collection and drop off. Also on drop off there was no one there to actually check the car with me so I was left worrying until the refund did appear on my card later that day (although fuel refund took two days),. The staff in the garage didn't care one jot and basically told me that the counter staff were just after their commission.
