Customer service and Glasgow branch

I bought a pair of Christian Louboutin from the store in Glasgow. The ankle strap on them broke after 5 wears. I contacted customer service who told me the product looked to be faulty and that if I bought them into store I would receive either a replacement, exchange or a credit note. I did just this and at the store the manager was extremely condensing calling me ‘darling’ as if I was a 12 year old girl. She refused to offer me any of the above which I was promised by customer service. I then contacted customer service who told me they can’t override the store and it is up to the store weather or not my shoes are faulty and therefore if I will get an exchange etc. this was not said in the original email from themselves and when I asked to complain about this I was essentially ignored and told I could return to the store and ask them to have another look and no comment was given about me asking to complain about how customer service has handled this and given me false information (I asked a number of times in multiple emails). So even though customer service have said the shoes were faulty and I would be getting a replacement, exchange or credit, just because the manager seems to disagree that’s the end of it. The customer derive also said that they are a separate entity from the stores therefore they can’t deal with my issue, what kind of customer service is that? I have since contacted the manufacturer as the manager seemed to think this was normal wear and tear and not faulty. If this is the quality of shoes at this price, what are we paying for?
