I’ve been a Costco member for over 10 years, and I was excited when I saw Car Keys Express offering discounted key fobs at my local Costco in Pompano Beach, FL. Since dealership prices can be extremely high, I decided to give them a try and ordered a key for my 2018 Lexus GX, expecting it to arrive within two weeks. Two weeks passed with no key and no updates. I reached out through their online chat support—no response. I called multiple times and couldn’t get through for two days. When I finally reached someone in a remote overseas call center, they informed me that the key for my vehicle was unavailable but would escalate the issue. On March 5, I received an email stating that they couldn’t provide the key and that I needed to go back to Costco for a refund. After three weeks of waiting and dealing with unhelpful customer service, I was left empty-handed and frustrated. To make matters worse, while processing the refund at Costco, the representative mentioned he had heard similar complaints from other customers. This experience was a complete waste of time. Now, I have no choice but to go to the dealership and pay significantly more for a key fob. You can uncheck this Costco benefit from your list. I would not recommend Car Keys Express based on this experience.
