Rude Flight Attendant

My friends and I take an annual trip and we always use Southwest, however, after this flight we may reconsider our options. The flight was full with no empty seats. There were 15 in our group. We were all seated strategically in the back of the plane. We have a friend who is a larger man who sat in the aisle seat with 2 other friends. The flight attendant approached the two sitting in the inner seats and ask for their names. They were very confused as to why. The flight attendant proceeds to say “we would like to compensate you for not having enough room.” She was very vulgar with her words and paid no mind to him as if he was not sitting there and a plane full of people did not hear her. This is the most disgusting thing that I have witnessed in a very long time! It was embarrassing, humiliating, unprofessional, and not a bit empathetic for the man she was speaking about. I have worked in travel/hospitality for 24 years. I understand that the lack of line level staff is causing the industry to choose unqualified candidates for these positions. This should not exclude behavioral interviewing to at least try to fill positions with the “right” people for the job. This is not what we would expect from Southwest Airlines and I hope that you address this situation with the appropriate departments and people. I also feel that he is owed nothing less than at least and apology for the humiliation that she caused.
