Our basic rental experience in NZ was fine. HOWEVER: We scraped a bumper during our rental. We chose to insure through our credit card rather than with GO. We filed a claim (the local rep said given the damage, she was surprised we bothered). It took over a month to settle the amount, during which they held on to 3000NZD. After a month, they reduced the assessment, refunded the balance and promised us a final statement. It has been almost 2 months since we returned the vehicle, and we have yet to receive that statement so that we can file with our insurance. We had better experience with claims settlement in Italy. I have sent repeated emails. Claims does not answer their phone worth a damn. GO rentals, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! I can get the money back if you would just file your own paperwork and send me a copy.
