I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I ordered a cooker extractor and an Induction hob. Sound so simple but the problem started after only part of my order arrived. At first the Hob came so I thought so far so good. They must be sending the items separately. I waited a week then I thought this is odd I had better contact them. I sent an email asking where my extractor was. Their very fast response was that because they cannot do anything about it and I can’t get any refund because I had not informed them that the item had not arrived within three days of the item arriving. Yes I was confused also. So I contacted them to ask that are they really saying that I should of informed them that the item did not arrive three day after it arrived. Yes they said. They also pointed out again that because of the three days I can’t have a refund or return the item. Ok I said. Could you please forward the delivery receipt that your courier company would have given you and I would have signed. That’s when they stopped responding. After many emails they finally responded and said that they would bring the matter to the attention of the courier company. At that point I asked for the tracking number and the contact details of the courier. Again the communication stopped. At this point I tracked down the couriers and talked to them. They informed me that they had only picked up one package and If they had picked up two then there would be two tracking number. One for the hob and one for the extractor. Two weeks later and many emails a battered box with holes in it arrived on my door step. I opened the box to find a damaged extraction canopy. So knowing what RDE are like I informed them straight away that the item was damaged and sent many pictures. And yes they informed me that because I had not informed them within three day of the item tuning up they will not do anything about it. I then had to get all the tracking information from my local post service and it showed that the item only arrived in Finland two days before I received it. So how could I have had the item in my possession for the three days they stated. No they said you have had the item for three weeks now. Have you checked the email I sent with the delivery information. It clearly shows the delivery date. Ok They said but I can’t have a refund because I had not sent clear pictured of the damage within three days. Did you check your emails I asked with ten clear pictures of the damage. And yes again they went in to radio silence. Many emails later they finally started the returns procedure. They also demanded lots more pictured of the item before I packed it. While I Packed it and after I packaged it. About one month later and again after many un answered emails I finally got my refund. Never again will I use this company. They knew they had not even posted the item yet they were willing to see If I would just go away and forget the 350 euro for the item. They made me fight for every step and for every euro of the refund. I was just trying to remodel my kitchen and they made this much more difficult then I should have been. And its companies like this that drive people to places like Amazon. Or other bigger companies. My advice to you is to not use them. My advice to RDE is do not treat your customers with contempt and try to weasel out of your obvious responsibilities. Instead treat them like human beings who are sitting at home worried with damaged or missing goods.
