Ulta showed no understanding for life circumstances
I’m extremely disappointed with Ulta’s lack empathy and understanding regarding their return and exchange policy. My family purchased an expensive product for me as a birthday gift, but because it was a gift, I didn’t receive it until weeks later — already near the end of the 30-day return window. Shortly after, I faced a family emergency that required unexpected travel and delayed me from addressing the return in time. Now, just two weeks past the exchange window, Ulta has refused to allow even an exchange or offer store credit for a brand new item. I reached out to customer service explaining the situation, hoping for some understanding, but was met with no flexibility or compassion. Instead of being able to return an unwanted gift, my family — who could really use the money right now — is left with a wasted purchase. It’s incredibly disappointing that a company of this size can’t show basic empathy for genuine, unforeseen circumstances.
