Disappointing - 3 1/2 hours wait on M1 hard shoulder

BeSmart 2/5*. Recovery driver 5/5*. First time needing to use my breakdown cover. Ended up on M1 hard shoulder after getting an engine temperature warning light come on. From first call to BeSmart through to getting someone out took around 3 1/2 hours. I was told no roadside assistance technician was available at the time and the helpline estimated recovery at an hour. This was later changed as BeSmart couldn't source a cab large enough to take on three passengers. Due to this delay organising a recovery vehicle it took a further hour until we were picked up from the hard shoulder around 1:30 in the morning. Recovery driver from Burke Bros Recovery was great though, really friendly. BeSmart call centre wasn't amazing, what with motorway traffic noise, it was hard to work out who's talking to you when you can hear other call centre conversations in the background. Also seemed to be quite abrupt at ending calls. Overall lesson learnt is you get what you pay for...
