I received a phone call saying about a government scheme so I allowed the project manager to come and explain what it was about. He said it would cost £5,200 which included a 30 kw boiler. And 10 year break down cover . Boiler would be fixed the next day if a repair was needed. As they had fitters all over the country . What absolute rubbish. My boiler broke with in 10 minutes of the fitter leaving. The halo completely went. I was left with no ph numbers to call so I had to call ideal boiler direct. They could not come out for over days. I could not turn the heating off , i live on my own as my husband had just passed away and I have poor mobility. Over that weekend the rads started making horrendous noises as there was that much trapped air in the system even though it was supposed to have been flushed through. I heard water dripping inside the boiler also. I ph gas fast to ask for a call out. But after saying someone would come. At 3 pm that day I had a ph call saying that I had to wait for ideal to come out. I was so worried about this and after a few ph call to gas fast appalling customer service I decided to get an independent company in to check this boiler. To my horror they had to shut it off as the fit was so bad it was not safe. He contacted the manager at gas fast. Who then rang me to arrange another fitter to sort this out. When they arrived it was said they would try and fix this but it needed ripping out and starting again as so many corners had been cut. I asked for it to be removed and a full refund. Toni from the office did apologies and offer me £500 to keep this boiler but I said no. So two you g guy set to remove the boiler. I thought that was that. However. At 1.30 am that night. I was awakened by running pumping water pouring out the pipes off were the boiler had been attached. As they has not been capped off. They only did the gas one. Hence a flooded bathroom and living room as the water poured through the ceiling light. I had already had a massive pool of water in the conservatory off the first fitter as he bled the boiler as his hose was made up of small hose parts and the leaked. He didn’t bat an eyelid Leaving me struggle to get the water up. Two rugs soaked. On phoning gas fast yet again and spoke to the other manager.she could not have cared less I sent the photos of the damage and she just said I will send you the forms to claim which she never did. She spoke to the two fitter who came to take it out who said they had capped the pipes.yet more lies. But I sent photos showing how it was left. The member of staff was rude. £5200 for this service I was also promised a 30 kw boiler but was I fact fitted a 24 kw. The combi 30 is just the number. As as ordeal told me. Then iv since found out iv been accused of damaging pipe work in my own house by said manager. I had only just had new carpet fitted so of course I want 3 floods in a week . You are a fool and you make the company you work for even more foolish. I can say the guys who came were polite and I was polite back. But I think this job was very rushed and damage was caused by all fitters. As sorry would have been good. But no. You people reading this dont be rushed into this and with the next day fit, you lose your 14 day cooling off period once the boiler is fitting a according to gas fast.
