Genuinely worst customer service we've ever experienced
If you want to be treated like a valued customer, do not use Peter Clarke. We used used PC for both ends of our chain, and both fell through due to their mistakes. It is a long convoluted story, which I won't fully go into, but it boils down to them trying to pin mistakes they made on us and 'closing rank' when we clearly proved the mistake was on their part. We could have accepted that mistakes, although avoidable, happen, if they showed genuine concern and were apologetic, but it was the way they treated us that was very troubling. Our buyer pulled out and stated it was over information that was not provided to her during her showing and the offer process. PC tried to make it seem like this was our fault as it wasn't captured on the property information questionnaire, even though we told them verbally. They neglected to mention it wasn't even a field requested in the form! They clearly tried to pin their mistake on us, hoping we wouldn't check the form to discredit their claim. When our buyer pulled out (right before we were ready to exchange), they did not convince our seller to give us a grace period to find a new buyer - as it took less than a week to sell our house before. They allowed us to get gazumped so we lost the house we were hoping to make our long term family home, which took us a year to find. Our family is absolutely gutted to say the least; losing time, money, tears and hopes. We know this happened in large part due to the lack of regulation in house buying, but this does not excuse the lack of honesty and integrity by which they provided their services.
