Great outcome - "You" are the best person to sell your own home.
I started with Sellmyhome, but then also had to add a "High Street" agent at the insistence of the people we were buying from (with the High St agent only getting paid if the buyer came through them). Therefore, I was able to directly compare the two models. While the big brand may have brought in some potential buyers from London who otherwise would not have looked in our area 40 miles south of London, I think that almost everyone looks at Right Move, and so the big brand is not at all essential. But the real advantage of Sellmyhome, on top of the very efficient service and of course the much lower cost, was that I was able to do those viewings myself - and almost all the second viewings came through me / Sellmyhome, because the big brands generally use part-time staff to "show" homes, and they are of course nowhere near as familiar with your home as you are yourself, and therefore not as good at selling it. The only potential downside is that some buyers don't want to give any negative feedback directly to an owner, but that is where the Sellmyhome staff come in - they were very efficient at following up after viewings. And we saved thousands of pounds!! Why would you not?
