Fine until you have a problem

I am a realist. I am not under the impression that everything has to be perfect all the time. I get that there are always external factors and variables that cause issues with services. However, if you read on a website that something is guaranteed, you would expect that to be adhered to. Apparently to Zen the word Guaranteed means to shrug ones shoulders in a violent fashion and deny all knowledge of any guarantee ever existing. I had their mid package 900mbps. Standing next to the router and indeed plugged in, I was receiving up to 900mbps + in some instances. But if I moved 30 feet to the upstairs of my house, I was receiving 20mbps. That's not a mistype, 20, two zero. According to Zen, in order to fix this, I needed to move the router into the middle of the room with no furniture or other devices near it, then, I needed to make sure all devices, which are no where near it remember, had to be plugged into the router. When I raised this as ridiculous, I was told they take no responsibility at all and I need to do as they ask. Engineers came out to my home and upgraded my service. While there they advised that the router was in fact faulty. So all this time it was in fact the router that was the issue not me. When I raised this with Zen, they advised, the routers never fail, everyone has the same and they just don't break. It must have been me not following their advice. My advice... stick with internet service providers that truly don't care about you and don't lie about that fact. They actually celebrate it. I can respect that. These guys gas light you like you are in an abusive relationship... you don't need that in your life.
