Disorganization, fraud; you pick and choose
The experience with Centauro and especially Centauro Lisboa is mixed, positive and negative. So let the facts speak for themselves. Initial experience: the bus that was supposed to pick us up from Lisbon airport never showed up, so after an hour of waiting we had to go to their offices by taxi. When we picked up the car from their office, we waited for an hour, so our schedule has already been violated by two hours. The experience with the car that was delivered to us was impeccable, the vehicle was new, the trip was smooth, our pleasure was high. The return of the car was also easy due to the premium insurance , we delivered it with a full tank of fuel, the use of ViaVerde for tolls was checked and the employee assured us that the amount of 158+ euros would be refunded. So the financial side: In addition to the full advance payment for the reservation on March 25, 2025, upon receipt of the vehicle on May 30, 2025, I was charged 121 euros for fuel and 100 euros as a guarantee for using tolls through Viaverde. I returned the car with a full tank, so I should have been refunded 121 euros. Of the 100 euros for tolls, I used 62.83 euros, so I should have been refunded the remaining 37.17 euros. In total, the company should have refunded me 158.17 euros. Instead, they only refunded me 58.17 euros, without sufficient explanation. I have contacted them by email but have not received a response, although the 14 days they asked me to. Mistake, lack of organization, fraud? This is the third time I've rented a car from Centauro. Bologna, Bilbao, Lisbon. They also did a dirty job to me in Bilbao and never responded to my messages. I didn't follow up then. But now they've gone too far. Just the fact that I'm dealing with negative situations after such a successful trip (negative review, complaint to the European Consumer, dispute of a transaction at the bank) unfortunately takes away a lot of the pleasure that this beautiful country gave me.
