Really experienced tutors make this GAS course GREAT!
So i started the gas engineer training course with access training in September, Ive been plumbing for 5 years and it was time to get Gas Safe! I chose access because it was really affordable and great value for money and the reviews were great. Theres alot to get your head around and alot of information to take in (a lot more than i thought!) but dont let that put you off, the trainers are absolutley fantastic, special mentions to Steve, Andy and the one and only Mr Simon Capper! These 3 guys that delivered my training have an absolute wealth of experience having worked in the trade over decades. You really are learning from the best. At the start of the course you are learing all of the theory via Live online webinars, where you can direcly talk to your tutors. You can catch up whenever is convenient for you as they are recorded, you can watch them over and over or even speed them up, my online tutor was Steve, a great trainer and straight to the point, and effortlessly delivers the information over the webinars. Unofficially, the online tutors run whatsapp groups with all the students to help out and they are there to answer questions on the subject at almost anytime of the day which is a huge bonus and is greatly appreciated. Im at the stage now where ive just finished my practical training with Simon at the Manchester training centre, and this has been the best part of the course for me so far. You get really hands on with all the appliances that you need to learn about, and really indepth with how all the appliance work and all the safety devices and procedures. Simon will really get you thinking and working as gas engineer and really brings all the theory and practical together to build up a full understanding of the subject. Im near the end of my course now, just the portfolio to complete and then i can get for my Final exam, the whole process will have taken me around 13 months. Im really glad i chose access and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get into the gas industry. Special thanks once again to Simon, Steve and Andy, these guys are really passionate about the subject and want the best for their students, you can tell they get immense satisfaction from passing over their knowledge and seeing their students excel and progress.
